Nelson Saavedra Jr. (b. 1993 Miami, FL) is an artist, video-maker, motion graphics artist, and animator based in Providence, RI. He approaches most projects as problems that need solving which informs his creative work in a uniquely analytical way. Nelson is especially driven to stories and visual mediums that remind him of his Cuban heritage and queer latino experience, often incorporating bold colors, concise visuals, and some unique flare into his work. He admires Studio Ghibli’s storytelling, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and self-aware horror/thriller films.
